OWA meeting with a client

How we're approaching business going forward

Jake Woodward - 25 June 2020

The recent period has been challenging and unprecedented in many different ways – and it has helped to underscore the things that are important to all of us.

As we enter our fourth month of remote working, we wanted to update you on how we're approaching business going forward.

As many of you know, OWA has operated a flexible working policy for several years now and so we have the corresponding workflow and online systems in place to support this. For the foreseeable future our team will continue to work away from the office. We have fully embraced online meeting technologies and are available to have virtual meetings at any time.

Happily, our processes have functioned seamlessly in a scenario that few could have envisaged just six months ago, and we have been able to deliver uninterrupted services across design, developmentsupport and hosting to all our clients.

Our thanks go out to our partners who have helped us to keep our services online throughout the lockdown – we really appreciate all the work that you do for us.

We are pleased to report that everyone at OWA has remained fully employed throughout the pandemic. Our management team has already put the necessary financial safeguards in place to ensure that we are able to continue providing our full range of services in what is no doubt going to be a challenging business climate in the months to come.

At the moment, we are busy working on a number of projects for clients that bring offline systems online to support critical workflow – vital upgrades in the current climate that are helping businesses, charities and NGOs to streamline operations.

Coming out of this period, as an opportunity for positive change, we have fully embedded online meeting technology as part of our project workflow.

Zoom, Microsoft TeamsSkype for BusinessGoToMeeting and Google Meet have all been stress-tested and the findings are in. We are talking to our customers on all of these platforms and may be persuaded to reveal our preferences next time we speak.

So although it could be a little while yet before we can resume face-to-face meetings, we look forward to talking with you soon.

As always, we are very happy to hear about your projects or chat through any ideas so do feel free to get in touch.
